I hate the 2024 web, it’s boring, it’s bland, it’s corporate, and everything if it’s not trying to steer you towards signing up for something, it’s harvesting your data.

I hate mobile responsive, I hate how our attention is being funneled into smaller discrete chunks.

Anyway, that’s enough about what I hate. Let me tell you what I love. I loved the creative expression of the early web. I loved the tech-utopianist perspective. Where we imagined a world where technology enhanced our lives and connection. I love the idea of a social web (not social media). Free of algorithms, where you can access other opinions, beliefs and engage in understanding your fellow human.
